SPN: Memory
Title: Memory
Challenge: Memory over at
brothers100
Rating: K+
Genre: Family, wee!chester
Word Count: 200
Fandom/Characters: Supernatural - Dean, Sam
Spoilers/warnings: Schmoop. Do we need warnings for schmoop?
Notes: Pre-season dialogue fic. Sam's 8, Dean's 12. Really just an excuse for some wee!chester goodness. Because we all need some of that every once in awhile. And yes, I know 8-year-olds that have memorized the Gettysburg Address, in case you're wondering.
“Come on, Sammy, you can do this. It is altogether fitting…”
“It is altogether fitting and… and proper that we should do this.”
“Nice! What’s next?”
“Um… But in a… larger sense… Dean, I can’t do this!”
“Sure you can, Sammy. You’re the second-smartest kid I know.”
“Really? Who’s first?”
“Me, of course. You can’t ever be smarter than your older brother. Everyone knows that.”
“Oh. Can get to be as smart as you?”
“Pretty close. Just like you’re going to be almost as tall as me. That work okay?”
“Yeah! Is that gonna happen anytime soon, Dean?”
“In awhile Sammy. When we’re older.”
“Like when I’m twelve?”
“Ya gotta be even older that that, Sammy, ‘cuz I’m twelve and I don’t know everything yet.”
“Really? What don’t you know?”
“Why you’re such a geek.”
“Dean!”
“Just kiddin’, dude. But wait ’til you’re like eighteen or something. Then you’ll know almost everything I know.”
“Wish I could know everything now. Then I’d be able to memorize this thing.”
“Hey, now. You’re gonna get this down, okay? I know you can do it, Sammy.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, really. Try from the beginning, okay?”
“Okay. Four score…”
End.
