Title: Much Afraid
Fandom: CHAOS
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Gen, Angst, Humor, H/C
Characters: Billy, Casey, Michael, Rick
Spoilers/warnings: None
Length: Approx. 7,000 words
Notes: Written for Faye, who manages to be a rock star and spoils me shamelessly, even while sleep deprived. Also, Casey’s back story is pure speculation.
Disclaimer: CHAOS is owned by its creators, CBS, and its affiliates. Title comes from a song by Jars of Clay.

Summary: Casey’s really afraid. Because one of the few people he trusts is bleeding out on American soil and it’s not Casey’s fault, but it still feels like failure of the worst kind.

Casey's afraid. )

Title: The darkest evening of the year
Fandom: CHAOS
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen
Characters: Rick, Billy, Casey, Michael
Spoilers/warnings: None
Length: Approx. 4k words
Notes: Prompted by Faye, beta'd by Faye. Basically my entire existence in this fandom is thanks to Faye. Remaining mistakes are my own.
Disclaimer: CHAOS is property of CBS and its creators, etc. Title is a line from Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"

Summary: The mission is supposed to be over. Which is why Rick can’t quite figure out why they’re running for their lives through the woods.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep. )

Title: The uncertain hour before the morning (1/2)
Fandom: CHAOS
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen
Characters: Michael, Billy, Casey, Rick
Spoilers/warnings: None
Length: Approx. 11,000 words total (I know, right?)
Notes: This is really all Faye's fault. Not me getting addicted to this short-lived show, but the writing of massive fic. Of course, she spoils me shamelessly, so it's time I returned the favor.
Disclaimer: CHAOS is property of CBS and its creators, etc. Title is a line from T.S. Eliot's "Little Gidding"(in section II, specifically).

Summary: Waiting is difficult for Michael. Particularly when his team is stranded in the forest after a plane crash, waiting to see if help will arrive before it's too late.

It's wet. )

OMG It's been a lot longer than I thought since I've posted fic. Time to fix that, post-haste.

Title: Built for the road ahead
Fandom: Hawaii Five-0
Rating: PG-13ish
Genre: Gen
Characters: Danny, Steve, Kono, Chin, the Camaro, evil!Fords
Spoilers/warnings: No major spoilers past 1.08 or so; nothing at all from the last few eps of the season
Length: Approx. 4,800 words
Notes: You can blame thank my mother for this one. It's inspired by a conversation we had about the show. Thanks to [ profile] faye_dartmouth  for the beta and the encouragement of my crazy ideas. Written as a tide-me-over fic for [ profile] les342 . (I swear I'm working on your [ profile] help_japan  fic, friend, but it's turning out to be a massive beast and will take awhile to finish.)
Disclaimer: Unlike CBS and its affiliates, I make no money from the product placement herein. Nor do I own H50. Title is an old Ford slogan.

Summary: Danny discovers the root of all mayhem can be traced to a Ford dealership.

It's almost six months after the formation of Five-0 when Danny begins to notice a pattern. )

Title: Tell the truth (but tell it slant)
Fandom: Hawaii Five-0/Ocean's Trilogy
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen
Characters: Danny, Rusty, Linus, mentions of the H50 team.
Spoilers/warnings: Major spoilers for the Ocean's movies, anything up to and including 1.12; tag for that episode; part of the "Break-Even" verse
Length: Approx. 5,500 words
Notes: This fic is in the same 'verse as [ profile] faye_dartmouth 's "The Break-Even Point". It's a crossover between H50 and the Ocean's trilogy. A basic knowledge of the Ocean's movies is advised; I would highly recommend reading Faye's story before this, as that story tells of how Turk Malloy became Danny Williams, and several events from that story are referenced in this fic. Also, it's frakkin' brilliant and should be read by everyone. (And we're planning another story for the future, too.)
Notes the second: As Faye can testify, this fic was written before the latest episode aired, so we had no idea the show was going to take the turn it did. Just FYI.
Disclaimer: I don't own Ocean's or H50. Title comes from Emily Dickinson. Mega thanks to Faye for the encouragement and for humoring my plot monsters.

Summary: There is no way Danny could have gotten a hold of ten million dollars to save Chin’s life, not in the time frame they’d had. And now Danny Williams still can’t come up with ten million. But Turk Malloy can.

The phone number is taunting him now. )

[ profile] faye_dartmouth , being the wonderful and amazing person she is, has humored me and my crazy ideas and created a fantastic and massive crossover between Hawaii Five-0 and the Ocean's trilogy in which Danny Williams and Turk Malloy are one and the same (which we will continue to explore in future fics):

Title: The Break-Even Point
Author[ profile] faye_dartmouth
Summary: Turk knows that reality is mostly perception, and the fact is he doesn't know how to separate Danny Williams from Turk Malloy anymore. The lines are blurred and the guise is deeper than the reality. He's not one or the other, but he's a little of both.

Link to Master Post: It starts as a bet.

I have created a fanmix to accompany the story, and Faye made a fantastic album cover for it. Feel free to download even if you don't want to read the story (although you really, really should because it's amazing) and let me know if there are any issues with the download.

So over a year ago I posted the story "By Any Other Name", which, in case you've forgotten, was a series of snippets about various (incorrect) names Kirk was called over several different mentions. In one snippet, Jim was mistaken for his grandfather, Tiberius Kirk.

Well, a couple months back, the wonderful [ profile] nwspaprtaxis wrote a tag to that story. It's called "Not Alone" and it's absolutely awesome. Seriously. It's like she snuck into my mind and pulled out a character that I hadn't even realized was lingering there, but it fit so well. But because I'm a horrible (and absentminded) person, I never linked anyone to it until now.

So now I am. Go. Read. Be amazed. Because seriously, it's wonderful. It's available here on LJ and here on

Title: Monday, Monday (Can't Trust That Day)
Fandom: Hawaii Five-0
Rating: PG-13 (for language)
Genre: Gen, h/c, friendship
Characters: Everyone from 1.09 basically
Spoilers/warnings: Major spoilers for 1.09, "Po'ipu"; alternate-ending fic for that episode
Length: Approx. 5,000 words
Notes: This is what my mind thought should happen while watching 1.09, "Po'ipu." AKA, an excuse to add whump. This really won't make any sense if you haven't seen that episode, as the action picks up when the team is holed up in Steve's house. Mega thanks to [ profile] faye_dartmouth for prodding my plot bunny, for betaing this madness, and giving me an idea for the title. Any mistakes are my own.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to Hawaii Five-0, and if you recognize it, I don't own it; this includes action and dialogue in this particular piece. Title comes from the song "Monday, Monday" by The Mamas And The Papas.

Summary: All Steve can think of is the conversation he and Danny had at the start of the case, when Danny said he was sick at the thought of taking a bullet for Pak. Steve had said it wouldn't come to that. He's never been more wrong in his life.

The thing is, Danny should have known better. )

Title: Rather Swim Ashore
Fandom: Hawaii Five-0
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen, h/c, friendship
Characters: Danny, Steve, Kono, Chin, mentions of Grace, Rachel, and a couple OC bad guys
Spoilers/warnings: General spoilers for season 1, but no major plot spoilers
Length: Approx. 5,000 words
Notes: This is loosely inspired by [ profile] faye_dartmouth 's fic "Reasons to Hate Hawaii" (and by "loosely," I mean that my plot bunny saw this fic, ate a few radioactive angst and whump carrots, and went completely psycho). It also draws on a scene from 1.03, but isn't directly linked to that ep. Also, I'm pretty sure there's a Hardy Boys book that features something like this as a plot point, but I have no idea which one it would be, as I've read pretty much all of them at one point or another. Special thanks to [ profile] faye_dartmouth for the beta. This would be half as funny and a lot less understandable without her help.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to Hawaii Five-0. Title comes from Blue October's "Into the Ocean."

Summary: Danny was starting to think he could enjoy living in Hawaii. Then some morons decided to conk him over the head outside his apartment and chain him up in a cage. Underwater.

Apparently Danny's not supposed to like Hawaii. )

Title: The ever-living ghost of what once was
Fandom: Hawaii Five-0
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen, angst, friendship
Characters: Kono, mentions of Danny, Steve, Chin
Spoilers/warnings: Implied abuse
Length: 300
: Don’t own. Title comes from Band of Horse’s “No One’s Gonna Love You”
Notes: Written for the new prompt “Scar” over at the drabble community [ profile] hawaii_5_0_100 . It’s like the mods read my mind--I’ve had this idea in my head for awhile. There may be more to this later; not sure yet.

Title: A little bite of the fame machine
Fandom: Big Time Rush
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen, friendship
Characters: James, Logan, Kendall, Carlos, and Camille
Spoilers/warnings: Mainly for the episode "Big Time Break"
Length: Approx. 1800 words
Notes: My sister has officially hooked me on another show--dang her! XP I'm in the midst of catching up on reruns now. I watched "Big Time Break" yesterday and couldn't help but right this little tag. It takes place after the episode's end (and after everyone's shared their stories). And incidentally, I've got no beta for BTR fics, and I've got a few more stories in mind, so if you'd be willing to help me out, I'd appreciate it. And as I mentioned before, this is a new show to me, so if anyone's out of character, just let me know.
Disclaimer: Big Time Rush belongs to Nickelodeon, and Mario Kart belongs to Nintendo (I do believe). Title comes from the BTR song "Famous."

Summary: Camille finds out what the casting agent really told James and confronts him about it back at apartment 2J. Tag to "Big Time Break."

Title: With what we have (snippet)
Fandom: ST:XI
Rating: If this were a complete fic, I would foresee it as being around PG-13 level.
Genre: Gen, genderswap
Notes: This is an idea for a beginning of a genderswap ST fic with an alwaysagirl!Kirk. I really don't know if I want to keep finishing it. I've got scenarios in my mind that would be cool to write, but... idk. Not sure how I feel about writing genderswap, but when I started writing one night, this is what came out--and who am I to deny my muse? So let me know what you think--yay, nay, ew, etc. At some moments I see this as being girl!Kirk/McCoy, but at other times I see it as being gen. So... yeah.
Disclaimer: Title from One Republic's "Marching On" and I've never owned Star Trek.

It starts like this: She calls him Bones, he calls her Jim. )

Title: Idle Spite Has Won the Day (SNIPPET though, not a complete fic)
Fandom: Thunderbirds (movie-verse based)
Rating: If this were a complete fic, I would foresee it as being around PG-13 level.
Genre: Gen, drama, h/c
Notes: This is the first of several snippets I will probably be posting (from different fandoms). The basic premise of this story would be that a villain (probably one with previous connections to Jeff Tracy) has discovered the Tracys are in fact the Thunderbirds. He uses this to his advantage, kidnapping one of the boys, burying him alive, and after several hours of taunting and generally driving the rest of the Tracy clan into a frenzy, he would then instruct them to use their various rescuing devices to attack places containing some kind of technology he needs (or a bank from which he can get lots of money) in exchange for releasing said captured son. Of course, the gang would figure out who the villain was and stop him before the Thunderbirds would both lose a member and have their reputation tarnished. Happy endings all around.

Keep in mind that this is just a snippet, not a complete story. It will not be finished in the near future, and it is not my most stellar piece of writing. Additionally, it has not been beta'd, although it has been spell checked via Microsoft Word and my own mind.

Notes the second: There is a slight chance that I will continue working on this story, but it's roughly equivalent to a snowball's chance in hell. So if you (yes, I'm looking at you) have the desire to take this story and run with it, by all means, do so. It doesn't even have to necessarily be in this fandom, although I would love you forever if it was. I do request credit for idea inspiration, but if you don't give me that, I don't actually care all that much, seeing as how the majority of the idea isn't even mine--it's inspired by various poetry and other shows.

So yeah. Do what you will.

Disclaimer: I don't own Thunderbirds. This snippet was highly influenced by an episode of CSI (you fans will know which one I'm talking about), and the "Cry baby bunting" poem is actually a poem written by Felix Dennis so I can't even claim that.

It's 4:16 p.m., Jefferson Tracy. Do you know where your children are? )

Title: Finishing Touches
Fandom: Thunderbirds (movie-verse mostly)
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen, FLUFF GALORE, some angst, and humor
Characters: (in order of appearance) Alan Tracy, Scott Tracy, Virgil Tracy, John Tracy, Gordon Tracy
Spoilers/warnings: Movie spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet
Length: Approx. 2400 words
Notes:This is my first Thunderbirds fic. Eight and Stray did an excellent job sucking me in with fanfic--I fell in love with the Thunderbirds before I had ever watched the movie or seen an episode of the classic series. Ergo, most of my knowledge of these boys comes from fanfiction, the movie, and Wikipedia. I have seen several episodes of the classic Thunderbirds series, but this story (and all my subsequent TB stories) will  be movie-based with references to things from the TV-verse cannon. This can be considered a missing scene for the movie (because although I love the Tracys, the movie wasn't all that good and needs a lot of filler scenes, IMO), and there be much brotherly sappieness here.
Notes the second: Dedicated to Stray, in honor of her graduation. I'm very proud of you, hon, and I know you're going to do wonderful things. Thanks to her for the quick read-through, and to both her and Eight for getting me hooked into yet another fandom. I don't own anything related to the Thunderbirds. Also, if anyone knows of any other LJ communities I should post this to, let me know.

Summary: No Thunderbird is complete without his hair gel. Movie-verse, missing scene.

Title: Adrift
Fandom: ST:XI
Rating: PG-13 for mild gore and some language
Genre: Gen, angst, h/c
Characters: Jim Kirk, some Leonard McCoy and mentions of others
Spoilers/warnings: None
Length: Approx. 5100 words
Notes: I'm a little rusty, but I come to you with an offering. The style's a little different--I've been experimenting lately. Let me know what you think. also, there's a good chance that a companion fic will be coming along for this, so keep an eye out ofr that. Thanks to Stray for the encouragement and excitement, to Cole Chan for the beta, to ColtDancer for checking in on me and encouraging me to get my rear in gear, and to thsoe who continue to read and review my stuff even though I'm not always consistent in my posting. Y'all are wonderful. Also, the poetry quoted in here is from Samuel T. Coleridge's poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," which is an excellent read. And I don't own Star Trek.

Summary: The captain always goes down with his ship. Unless the crew says otherwise. Gen, happy ending.

He’s laying at the bottom of the rickety wooden boat, keeping his eyes up toward the sky so as not to look at the long crack in the hull that’s inching steadily closer to the waterline. )

Rating: PG-13
Genre: Gen, humor, a little angst, h/c,
Characters: Kirk, McCoy, Spock, Scott, Sulu, Chekov, Uhura
Spoilers/warnings: None, really, although movie spoilers are always up for grabs
Length: Approx. 6300 words
Notes: Written for [profile] cest_moi_01 for round two of [ profile] trek_exchange . Sorry for the wait! Came out as another 5/1 fic because I apparently can't resist the call. Prompt is at the end. Running unbeta'd again. I own nothing. Cross-posted everywhere.

Title: For the benefit of the sick
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen, humor, a little angst, h/c,
Characters: Kirk, McCoy, Spock
Spoilers/warnings: None, really, although movie spoilers are always up for grabs
Length: Approx. 2000 words
Notes: Written as a round one pinch-hit for [ profile] bdblack at [ profile] trek_exchange . The story I had originally planned on posting for this got corrupted over the weekend (moral of the story--save in more than one place), so I came up with this really quick this weekend. It doesn't fulfill any specific prompt, other than the fact that you like Kirk, Spock, and McCoy interaction, so... hope it works!
Notes the second: Lots of shameless, unbeta'd fluff. Title is from the Hippocratic Oath, in case you were wondering.

Summary: Friendship makes people do strange things. Particularly when that friend is Jim Kirk.
